CHICAGO, IL – Peck Ritchey, LLC Partner Timothy Ritchey will receive the Young Alumni Award from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law on November 20th at the 2014 Alumni Awards & Recognition Dinner held at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel.

The Young Alumni Award is bestowed to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of law, public service, and volunteering.

“We are extremely proud of Timothy Ritchey’s acknowledgement by the Chicago-Kent College of Law,” said Kerry R. Peck, managing partner of Peck Ritchey, LLC. “Tim not only works tirelessly for his clients and fights to protect the elderly and disabled in the courts and promoting legislation, but he also generously shares his time and talent with the Alumni Association and several professional organizations.”

Tim Ritchey concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and guardianship administration, probate and trust litigation, estate planning, fiduciary litigation and elder law. Tim was named as one of the 40 attorneys in Illinois under 40 to watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in 2014 and has been named a Rising Star in Illinois in Estate and Trust Litigation by SuperLawyers for the last three years. Tim has been appointed to serve as a Special Assistant Attorney General in actions relating to Illinois health care and disability law, and is involved in many professional and charitable organizations including the Young Professionals Board for the Center of Disability and Elder Law, ISBA, CBA, and DuPage County Bar Association.

I solicited Peck Ritchey, LLC for assistance with a living trust for which I became the beneficiary. I needed assistance with understanding the details of how it all worked. However, I was especially concerned because there were threats of allegations made by family members and a lawsuit was filed against me. I needed a solid professional who had my best interests in mind. Peter Brady took my case and he managed it flawlessly. He explained everything in a way I could understand, he knew the law inside and out, he was always available to answer questions, and even offer support when things seemed like they could become extremely problematic.
