Robert T. DeCherrie, is Of Counsel to the firm practicing in tax law. Bob completed his undergraduate degree at DePaul University and spent his post-graduate years at the University of Chicago and Kent College of Law. Bob is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court-Northern District of Illinois, the Appellate Court-Eastern District of Illinois, the U.S. Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Bob has worked as a field agent for the U.S. Treasury Department. He was a participant in the Latin American Tax Assistance Reserve Program with the State Department. Bob has also worked as the chief instructor for advanced training of Internal Revenue agents, a program that was conducted at the University of Chicago. He was a member of the Organized Crime Strike Force with the Special Enforcement Program of the U.S. Treasury Department. In addition, Bob has been a technical advisor to the Regional Counsel's Office of the Internal Revenue Service. He has spoken on behalf of the IRS in Chicago and has been a lecturer at C.P.E. seminars at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Bob is a lifelong Chicagoan who was active in the military during 1952-1953 and 1957, serving in the Special Ops Teams of the U.S. Navy. He was a professional football player during 1958 and 1959 and is a professional softball and handball player currently. Bob retired from public service on June 2, 1989. He initially entered private practice with the law firm of Peck, Wolf & Rosenstrock and has been of counsel to Peck Bloom for over 10 years.
