  • Book Review:Don’t let the heart warming foreword by Scott Turow stop you from reading the endearing explanations from the authors themselves. Kerry Peck and Rick Law educate readers on how best to handle a client and family with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis;  written compassionately by attorneys, who are truly the leaders in Elder Law.  I found the discussion of Elder Abuse, financial exploitation, and specifically scams, to be especially insightful and helpful in my work as a Certified Senior Advisor.Interesting demographic statistics pepper the content, including:  “85% of all adults don’t have a simple will, power of attorney, or health-care directive” and ” 70 % of those 65 and older will eventually need some sort of LTC assistance”.

You’ll find the authors are devoted to Seniors and their best welfare.  This book is a labor of love and a must read to those that practice in and around the legal field with Seniors and Dementia issues.
