Katie McClanahanKatie R. McClanahan, an associate, practices in the areas of trust litigation, probate litigation, fiduciary defense litigation, real estate litigation, elder law, and estate planning and administration, with an emphasis on contested trusts and estates.

Katie graduated from the University of Tennessee with honors, earning her Bachelor's Degree in political science. Katie received her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law. While in law school, Katie was a member of the Wake Forest Elder Law Clinic providing free legal services to seniors. She was also a member of the Women in Law program, a student member of the North Carolina Bar Association and a a student member of the Inns of Court.

Katie is a volunteer attorney and member of the young professionals board with the Center for Disability and Elder Law where she helps protect the rights of low-income senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Katie also volunteers her time with Gilda's Club, a community group that supports people whose lives have been affected by cancer. Katie also is a volunteer attorney with the First Defense Legal Aid, where she works as a first responder to individuals arrested by the Chicago Police Department.

Katie is currently an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Women's Bar Association and American Bar Association. Katie is an active member of the Women's Bar Association Community Outreach Committee, which identifies and promotes practical ways in which members can be of service to their communities through engaging in one service project per month.
