Kerry Peck: This January, Kerry was quoted in both the Wall Street Journal and in a U.S. News and World Report blog on the topic of caregiving agreements.

Kerry Peck recently spoke on Elder Abuse in the United States at the continued legal education seminar hosted in London by the Chicago Bar Association. Kerry was also recently elected to be the president of International Network of Boutique Law Firms for the year 2010. In mid-October, Kerry attended the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) annual conference in Kansas City and spoke on Protecting Clients Against Post-Death Litigation. In September, Kerry spoke at Illinois Masonic Hospital on Guardianship for Disabled Adults in Illinois and to the Illinois Federation of Teachers on Avoiding Exploitation and Litigation. In October, Kerry spoke to attorneys at the National Business Institute's seminar on the Probate Process and spoke to nurses and social workers about Issues Relating to Dementia for the American Case Management Association.

Ken Bloom recently returned from the Stetson University Law School Special Needs Trust Conference and the Special Needs Alliance Annual Meeting in St. Petersburg, Florida, which covered cutting-edge techniques in the benefits planning for individuals with special needs. Ken has been invited to address the Northbrook CPE Group, a group of Certified Public Accountants, to present a lecture on the complexities of preparing Estate Tax Returns. Ken continues to remain active as past-chair of the Chicago Bar Association ("CBA") Asset Protection Committee, as member of the CBA's Trust Law, Federal Estate & Gift, Elder Law, Tax and Estate Planning Committees, and as a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council. Ken continues to chair the Planned Giving Committee for the American Technion Society.

Cameron DeGuerre continues to serve as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Council and the Standing Committee on Mental Health Law. She also participates with the Probate Practice Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and the Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Matthew McQuiston recently joined Peck Bloom, LLC as an associate attorney practicing in the areas of estate and guardianship administration, probate and trust litigation, and real estate litigation. Matthew received his Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007 and his bachelor's degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado in 2003. Matthew is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
